The Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, gave possession to Cynthia María Villarreal Muraira as General Coordinator of the National Financing Program for the Micro-Entrepreneur (PRONAFIM, in Spanish).

The Secretary thanked Elenitza Canavati Hadjópulos the work done in the administration of the President Enrique Peña Nieto and invited the new head of the PRONAFIM to redouble efforts to ensure the transparency in the development and implementation of the programs she is in charge in order to promote the maximum benefit for society.

Villarreal Muraira served as Technical Secretary of the head of the Secretariat of Economy from May 2014 to May 2015. She holds a Degree in International Business from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM, in Spanish) and has a Master of Public Policy at the John F. Kennedy School of the Harvard University, in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

Also, she was Deputy Director General at the Under secretariat of Foreign Trade of the Secretariat of Economy; Public Policy Director of Transport of the Secretariat of Communications and Transport; and Analyst of Corporate Strategic Planning of CEMEX, among other charges.

From June, Juan Carlos Pineda Baker took over as Chief of Staff of the Office of the Secretary, who will support him directly in his works, as well as in the ongoing monitoring of public policy and its regular assessment, in order to provide elements for decision- making.

Pineda Baker served as Director General for North America of the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade.
