Before more than 200 specialists in the world, Mexico will present its contributions to the care of complex arrhythmia and closure of the arteriosus ductus, in the celebration of the World Congress of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Health 2016.

This ceremony will be held in Mexico City from June 4 to 7th, under the Global Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases 2013-2020. The United Nations delineates it, and its purpose is to reduce 25 percent of premature deaths because of cardiovascular diseases.

In the country, ischemic heart disease and heart attacks are the leading causes of death in cardiovascular disease. Per year, of every 100,000 deaths, 170 are caused by this disease.

Due to feeding and lack of exercise, the largest number of cases occur in the northern and central regions of the country.

At this meeting, Mexico´s National Institute of Cardiology “Ignacio Chavez” will present the second intervention performed to solve the problems of arrhythmia, through a highly specialized surgery.

For four days, the experts will discuss, among other topics, new methods for early detection of cardiovascular disease and treatment of cardiac emergencies in infants.

In this congress, Uruguay will present the program implemented to discourage smoking, which has allowed it to reduce its consumption.

In the panel "Including Chagas heart failure in Latin America," Mexico will present innovations in the treatment of acute heart failure.

At the time, it will be held the 5th International Conference of Women, heart disease and stroke related to pregnancy and menopause.

The World Congress of Cardiology is currently the most important medical event in the world, so its realization in Mexico contribute to the scientific enrichment of the cardiology specialty.
