The area of external consultation of the Maternal and Child Hospital of the state of Durango in Mexico, fills with faces of surprise by the patients receiving the Minister of Health, José Narro Robles. Parents and their children, many of them patients, approached, hugged and took pictures with the minister for the memory.

Those who remained seated in their places also received greetings and words of encouragement from Dr. Narro. He talked with them about the diagnostics and treatment they receive, and questioned them about the medical service. "Our priority is the health of the children, and in that way we will continue," he assured them.

In these hospital, the head of Federal Health oversaw medical care, the operation of the Mother’s Milk Bank and Breastfeeding Room, and verified the innovative equipment recently acquired.

Later, he went to the Regional Center for Early Childhood Development and Stimulation (CEREDI), currently being the number 25 to operate in Mexico, where he verified the quality of the services offered in the Center, that is in charge of monitoring the correct growth of the children, since in this region they detected that 16 percent of the children suffer some health problem.
