Eleven Mexican entrepreneurs and associations will have the opportunity to promote their products and services to more than 350,000 participants from 89 countries in South by Southwest (SXSW), the most important festival of information technologies and creative industries in the United States. The Mexican pavilion stands out for its convergent industries: creative industries and technology applied to interactive audiovisual production, as well as content production for the film and music industries.
South by Southwest is projected as an incubator of state-of-the-art technology and digital creativity that brings together world leaders in the music, film, video, web-building industries, and fosters the connectivity between them.
The participants in the ProMéxico pavilion are Council for the Promotion of the Creative Media and New Media Industry, Dot Net Desarrollo de Sistemas, Guadalajara Creative Digital City, Larva Game Studios, Oniria, Plenumsoft, Soluciones Energéticas de México, Top Solution IT & Consulting, Total Technology Transfer and Commercialization, Vicasoen and Xibalba Studios.
Attendees of the ProMéxico National Pavilion will have more than 60 activities within SXSW Interactive and will be present at round tables, concerts and conferences such as "Wall or no wall: Mexico as a technology leader in the United States", which will discuss how local and foreign innovators in high technology industries could benefit from the experiences of very successful Mexican entrepreneurs in the US market through their innovative strategies in drone development, internet of things and virtual reality.
They will also be able to witness the talk: 'Beyond the borders: the Intelligent Innovation Funds of Mexico', which will talk about the challenges of obtaining financing for the development and commercialization of technology.
The participation of Mexico in South by Southwest is a joint effort between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), ProMéxico, the Tourism Promotion Council (CPTM) and the Mexican Entrepreneurs Association (AEM) in Austin, Texas.
