The president hailed the fact that Mexicans expressed themselves in a civic, institutional and peaceful manner in the June 5 elections.
He congratulated the Secretariats in the Security Cabinet on their coordination with the state election authorities, which enabled the elections to be held without any major incidents.
At the meeting, President Peña Nieto also entrusted the Secretaries to make much more effective, efficient use of public resources and set spending and investment priorities, considering the budget adjustment for next year to achieve macroeconomic stability and sound public finances.
Lastly, the president urged them to consolidate structural reforms, programs and actions and to redouble efforts to deliver concrete results to citizens that will positively impact their daily lives.
