President Enrique Peña Nieto today led a Cabinet meeting, during which he reviewed the progress in the various actions undertaken by government agencies for the implementation of the Structural Reforms and compliance with the five main axes of this administration: Mexico at Peace, Inclusive Mexico, Mexico with Quality Education, Prosperous Mexico and Mexico with Global Responsibility.

At the meeting, held at the official residence of Los Pinos, the president reviewed the government’s commitments and work schedule.

He also issued instructions to the heads of the Federal Government agencies as regards planning for the last third of his administration.

He declared that the government will continue with its budgetary discipline in order to maintain the country’s macroeconomic stability and generate better welfare conditions for Mexicans.

President Peña Nieto instructed members of his Cabinet to redouble their efforts to reach the goals set, streamline the use of public resources and set spending and investment  priorities, based on next year’s budget adjustment.
