The President’s Office has announced that President Enrique Peña Nieto will pay a working visit to Washington DC on Friday, July 22, in response to an invitation issued by United States President Barack Obama, during the recent North American Leaders’ Summit (CLAN) held in Ottawa, Canada, on June 29.

The meeting seeks to continue the political dialogue at the highest level, deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries and advance the agreements reached during the recent meeting between Presidents Peña Nieto and Obama as part of the CLAN, at the end of last month.

The Mexican government is working to consolidate North America’s position as the most prosperous, dynamic and competitive region in the world.
