The infrastructure project inaugurated today, involving an investment of 2.5 billion pesos, is 38.7 kilometers long and will benefit 238,000 residents of the municipalities of La Paz and Los Cabos.

This highway is part of the key infrastructure works to support tourism in Baja California Sur, whose importance lies in:

Boosting tourism and trade between the two cities.

Halving travel time between the two, from 40 to 17 minutes.

Improving mobility between Los Cabos International Airport and the state’s tourist destinations

More and better infrastructure strengthens the state’s natural vocation, as in the case of Baja California Sur, which offers the most competitive range of tourist services. To this end, the government is working in conjunction with local governments to make tourism a permanent source of well-being and development for Baja California Sur and Mexico as a whole.
