President Enrique Peña Nieto inaugurated the Nestlé
Purina factory in Silao, Guanajuato.
This is the 15th factory in our country of this
global firm, which has believed and invested in Mexico for 85 years.
This plant will ensure the supply of pet food in
Mexico and make it possible to export it to Central America.
It involved an investment of $220 million USD and
created 6000 temporary jobs during its construction.
Annual profits of 750 million pesos are expected.
Nestlé’s confidence is confirmation that our
country is a safe, attractive destination for investment, with $22 billion USD
invested in the food sector during the first three years of the administration.
