President Enrique Peña Nieto met with representatives of various Evangelical, Christian, and non-Evangelical Christian churches, with whom he maintained an open dialogue on various issues of national interest.

The dialogue with 33 representatives of various churches centered on issues of security, the country’s economic situation, progress in the implementation of the various Structural Reforms, and the actions and programs promoted by the government to build a society of rights.

The president confirmed the secular nature of the Mexican State and the government’s respect for freedom of religion and belief guaranteed by the Constitution.
