During his participation in the Second Retreat at the APEC Leaders’ Meeting, President Enrique Peña Nieto said that, “In a complex and adverse global environment, APEC economic leaders have a great responsibility: to create the necessary conditions to achieve growth that is sustainable and inclusive as well as high.”

On the other hand, he said that the international community must assume greater collective commitment to reducing the effects of climate change.

Aware of this, for the first time in the history of Mexico, the National Development Plan incorporates a specific commitment to inclusive, facilitating green growth, which preserves natural heritage, while generating wealth, competitiveness and employment; while the reforms have a pro green growth approach.
